has a downside as well: the impersonal nature of the medium has made it easier for incompetent or
unscrupulous operators to prey on unsuspecting customers. This has become apparent in the online auto
transport industry, where broker websites spring up overnight and win quick commissions by making
unrealistic promises and underbidding the industry standard with unsustainable quotes. Inevitably, the
customer ends up holding the bag.

This is why it's important to entrust your vehicle to a respectable, reliable and well-established carrier,
and Direct Connect Auto Transport delivers on all counts. A presence on the auto transport marketplace
for over two decades, Direct Connect has received rave, 5-star reviews from customers throughout its
years of operation.

Direct Connect can move many different types of vehicles, but its specialty is "white glove auto
transport" - moving expensive or rare cars, such as luxury automobiles, classic/vintage cars and so on.

Direct Connect is well suited to such jobs because it fields closed carrier trailers alongside the more
common open auto shipping trailers. A closed carrier is a standard-sized 18-wheeler transport hitch,
only one that, instead of moving boxed goods, has been fitted with ramps and fixtures that allow it to
load and transport a passenger car.

With a closed carrier trailer, you'll be certain that your valuable possession will be protected from rain,
snow, accidental damage, vandalism and many other hazards.

Combined with our record of professionalism and sterling, personalized customer service, Direct
Connect auto transport is your best bet for moving your classic car or luxury automobile door-to-door
with a minimum of trepidation.Blogmakerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03470666336089935205noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623385.post-47053099773963434442012-10-20T07:01:00.000-07:002012-11-27T07:13:25.444-08:00Ship a Car With American Auto Move
When American Auto Move began it's operations in earnest earlier this year, it did so with the expressed

Whether for business or personal use, custom magnetic signs and rear window decals are seen on many cars traveling the roads. Each is relatively inexpensive and can be customized to whatever the user needs. When evaluating the choice between the two most customers do not know where to start. Below are some facts and figures to help a customer make an educated decision.

Car Magnets

Positives—If properly stored, car magnets are reusable for a very long term adding to its affordability in terms of investment

Negatives—Car magnets DO NOT stick to non-metal vehicles such as fiberglass and plastic. The magnet must be applied to a smooth, flat area, which can limit the size.

Applications—If want temporary signage, car magnets are a perfect choice. If a business vehicle is also used for personal reasons the removability of magnetic signs is great. Many neighborhood associations do not allow advertisements on cars when at home.

Rear Window Decals

Positives—Rear windshields are usually angled, because of that the decals can be easily seen by passing motorists. The perforated material on the one-way vision is see-through from inside the vehicle but the color and design can be seen from the outside.

Negatives—Decals are applied and stick with adhesive. This makes the decal difficult toremove and be reused. Depending on the decal product chosen it can be much more expensive.

Applications—To promote a businessa rear window decal is great for exposure. If you’re looking for something you can install just once and never have to adjust or remove it an adhesive decal can do no wrong.
When deciding between any car sign (not just car magnets and rear window decals) make sure to consider the products installation process and whether it reusable. Obviously car magnets can be installed and removed quickly but there is a maintenance that could be tedious. Rear window decals do not require much maintenance but can only be installed once and are not removable.

Can I put personal items in the car while it is being shipped?
A car transporter is not licensed to transport personal belongings. The Federal Government requires a separate license to transport households good and belongings. In addition, the insurance provided on your vehicle while it is in the possession of the carrier will not cover any personal items that have been left in the car. Many drives will allow some small personal belongings placed in the trunk or in the case of an SUV in the rear below the window line. The general rule of thumb is 100 lbs. or less.

2. First introduced in 1973, the Honda Civic has undergone many changes in its almost forty year history. Originally launched as a small, zippy car with awesome fuel efficiency, the Civic was a major change for Honda who previously had only specialized in motorcycles. Honda Civics are well constructed vehicles that last for a long time. For this reason, they make for excellent used car choices.

The seventh generation of the Honda Civic was released in 2001. It did continue using the same 103.1 inch wheelbase that prior Civic models utilized. However, the car underwent significant changes heralding in a new generation of the Honda Civic. One change was in the design of the front suspension system which made for a more comfortable ride. Another change from previous models was in the design of the back seat floor. Previously, there was a hump in the middle of the floor which made it very uncomfortable for an adult to be seated in the middle seat. However, this newer group of Civics removed this making the floor completely flat. Now, a fifth adult could be accommodated much more comfortably.

The Honda Civic models created in the 7th generation from 2001 to 2005 came in both two door coupes and four door sedans. A two door hatchback was the third model. Within these years, the standard trim models were DX, EX and LX. Honda also offered the Civic with some special trims like the GX and HX.

Most 2001-2005 models of the Honda Civic have a slightly larger engine than previous years. The 1.7 litre engine is able to provide the vehicle with 117 horsepower. This increases by ten to 127 in the Civic EX model. The transmission came in three different options. Some Honda Civic had manual 5 speed transmissions while others had automatic transmissions in four speeds. Also, one some models, specifically the GX and HX, the transmission could be a continuously variable transmission.Blogmakerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03470666336089935205noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623385.post-51538365250887712462011-08-30T07:14:00.001-07:002013-01-18T04:17:05.157-08:00The Car Insurance TalkChances are if you’ve come to this site you like cars. Whilst car insurance isn’t the most thrilling topic car enthusiasts are concerned with, like the “birds and bees” talk it’s a necessary discussion.

Everyone needs car insurance in case of accidents. Driving without motor insurance means if you get an accident your beloved car could financially damage you, and no car lover wants to think of their automobile like this. Here are a few reasons why getting a car insurance quote would be worthwhile:

Investing in car insurance cover makes the stress of an accident easier. Insurance companies deal with the claims so you don’t have to. Also if you’re ever in a situation where someone falsely claims you’ve caused their car damage, your insurance company can help make sure you won’t have to fork over the cash.

One of the main benefits of car insurance cover is that if you are ever in an accident, insurance companies will limit the amount of liability you have to cover. Getting in an accident without insurance means you have to pay for all costs of the accident including medical bills and car repair. Getting car insurance limits this amount so you won’t have such a financial burden.

These are just a couple benefits of having car insurance cover. Without cover your car could potentially make you financially bust. Getting motor insurance helps you think of your car in the way it should be thought of, a beautiful piece of machinery!Blogmakerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03470666336089935205noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623385.post-79127181708390325162011-05-05T09:43:00.000-07:002011-05-05T09:55:43.695-07:00Like Fast Cars? Speeding jeopardizes your own safety, as well as that of your passengers and other motorists. It can also land you in legal trouble. In addition to a ticket, other penalties for speeding include fines, suspension of your driver's license and even jail time if your actions result in bodily injury or death of another person.

Auto insurance companies pull your driving record to determine whether to provide coverage and set your premium amount. Numerous speeding tickets are an indication that you're not a safe driver, which makes you a high risk. Drivers with a recurring pattern of speeding are considered more accident-prone, so their premiums are much higher.

Traffic violations add points to your driver's license. The more points an auto insurer sees, the higher your insurance premiums. If you've had your driving privileges revoked or suspended due to too many speeding tickets or other violations, you may have to file a SR-22 form when you apply for SR22 insurance. A good site to compare is www.SR22InsuranceQuotes.org. Not only will you pay higher premiums, but you'll also have a harder time finding an auto insurer because not every insurance company offers SR-22 filings.Blogmakerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03470666336089935205noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623385.post-49499636336842928422009-11-19T07:39:00.000-08:002009-11-19T07:43:13.504-08:00BMW X1 Lego model crafted for charityOne of the most famous toys in the world is Lego, everyone at some stage in their life has played with it, as a child or as a parent. All the art was done with three sharpies permanent marker, and was quite a task to have it covered on the surface of a car. There was no form of pre-planning involved in drawing and relied heavily on our design backgrounds. Since we had our full time jobs to focus on, the project was done after working hours; about 3 hours every evening - the heat and humidity during the summers was not any good to have a smooth completion.

After three days of intense sessions, the project was completed and the outcome was outstanding. The art was protected with a layer of matte lacquer to retain the original look of the car. In the latter, the little hatchback is available with a solid 1.3-liter diesel dubbed DDIS. To make things even cleaner, Suzuki has announced that it will introduce a plug-in series hybrid version of the Swift at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show, and the powertrain reminds us of nothing less than a smaller Chevrolet Volt.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 203px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_lO_mFpZYfwg/SsdpuAfeCcI/AAAAAAAAFVE/Pqie7UKvG_A/s320/1.JPG" border="0" alt="2010 Suzuki Swift hybrid plug-in concept-1"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388391718298978754" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 222px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lO_mFpZYfwg/Ssdptz9yIgI/AAAAAAAAFU8/pL7S4Pgh7Y4/s320/2.JPG" border="0" alt="2010 Suzuki Swift hybrid plug-in concept-2"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388391714936463874" />The model, which is just a concept at this point, uses a 660 cc engine, probably sourced from a kei car. The engine charges the lithium-ion batteries, which are placed between the front seats – we suspect they extend into the middle of the rear seat as well. The batteries power a 54 kW motor that moves the front wheels.
Labels: 2010 Suzuki Swift hybrid plug-in concept,Suzuki Swift hybrid plug-in concept,Suzuki,autonews,

© Source: autoblog
We need your comments below >>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623385.post-80874005379588787802009-10-03T08:03:00.004-07:002009-10-03T08:08:51.826-07:002010 Lorinser Mercedes-Benz M-Class(from Lorinser Press Release) In fitting with its recent face-lift, Sportservice Lorinser provides the latest refreshed 2010 Lorinser Mercedes-Ben M-Class with a special sporty kick in the form of a newly designed aerodynamic package. The traditional vehicle tuner from Winnenden has specifically worked on the sporty character traits of the powerful SUV. Here the designers used a special trick: due to the components which have been moved much lower and thoroughly varnished, they brought the four-wheeler much closer to the tarmac. In particular the new Lorinser four-fin grill, which only ends on the lower edge of the fog lights, lets the whole vehicle sit so close to the tarmac that you can "feel" it. The strongly contoured front spoiler with the sports grill insert just above the underride protection strengthens the image of the steeled Autobahn attacker. At the same time round lines and curves break up the geometric front and provide an elegant note.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lO_mFpZYfwg/SsdofPfvk3I/AAAAAAAAFU0/gYlsJVbAm_U/s320/1.jpg" border="0" alt="2010 Lorinser Mercedes-Benz M-Class-1"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388390365116994418" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lO_mFpZYfwg/SsdoeziABgI/AAAAAAAAFUs/dYWaphlsImg/s320/2.JPG" border="0" alt="2010 Lorinser Mercedes-Benz M-Class-2"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388390357610268162" />The Lorinser side sills underline laterally the muscular side of the M-Class: they extend the bodywork optically downwards – in particular with black colour the SUV seems to melt into the road. The contact with the road surface is actually provided by diverse Lorinser light-alloy wheels, as chosen by the customer, with which the owner can give his/her M-Class a special individual note. Many designs are available, both in black and silver, so that the vehicle can reveal a completely different character, depending on the customer’s wishes.

But not just the attack and midfield of Lorinser M-Class is first-class. At the back Lorinser has brought in a massive and plastic-formed rear spoiler. With a sports grill and the underride protection moved much lower, it promises a dominant playing strategy with the strong series standard petrol and diesel engines of the M-Class: one step on the accelerator and the four massive Lorinser exhaust pipes provide the starting whistle.

© Source: seriouswheels
We need your comments below >>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623385.post-16310013143032548002009-06-06T16:57:00.000-07:002009-06-06T17:01:14.995-07:00Volkswagen Amarok pickupVolkswagen’s move into the utility market is certainly no ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ although it will be named Amarok, which means ‘wolf’ in the Inuit language.

In August the Amarok will become the first pickup by a European volume manufacturer when it is unveiled in South America.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lO_mFpZYfwg/SisDG3Xa14I/AAAAAAAAFUk/foWhAla_Gjs/s320/1.jpg" border="0" alt="Volkswagen Amarok pickup-1"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5344368799281502082" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lO_mFpZYfwg/SisDG0JFnAI/AAAAAAAAFUc/djTpJQFqM_g/s320/2.JPG" border="0" alt="Volkswagen Amarok pickup-2"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5344368798416083970" />The South American launch is set for early 2010, with the Amarok coming to Europe in the northern hemisphere summer.

With the Amarok, Volkswagen is seeking to enter global pickup markets dominated for the most part by Japanese manufacturers.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles already presented an impressive concept truck at last year’s IAA Commercial Vehicles, providing a taste of the brand’s new fourth model.

The Amarok will be produced in Argentina at Volkswagen’s “Pacheco” plant near Buenos Aires.

© Source: caradvice
We need your comments below >>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623385.post-82424457249348060182009-06-06T16:42:00.000-07:002009-06-06T16:57:28.767-07:00Ken Block drives the Subaru Impreza – videoKen Block and the Subaru Impreza look like quite a lethal combination in this video. Introduced in 1969 as a high-performance package to slot below the range-topping models from Shelby, the Mach 1 was the every-man's Mustang, and after the pony car lost its way in the late '70s, the Mach 1 wasn't seen again until 2003, when Ford reintroduced the package as the top performing 'Stang this side of the GT500.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 179px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lO_mFpZYfwg/Sir-iojPXpI/AAAAAAAAFUU/mE7L4VXYnHc/s320/1.jpg" border="0" alt="Ford Mustang-1"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5344363778782748306" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 206px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lO_mFpZYfwg/Sir-h2kCI6I/AAAAAAAAFUM/5fOtWmWhRUI/s320/2.JPG" border="0" alt="Ford Mustang-2"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5344363765364302754" />We already know there's no Mach 1 for the 2010 model year, but there's at least a little speculation that the historic moniker could be revived for 2011, coinciding with the expected launch of Ford's latest 5.0-liter 400-horsepower Coyote V8 engine. What better excuse could there be for a performance edition? Fortunately for us, Edmundo Cano put mouse to Photoshop and created an enticing rendering of what a factory 2011 Mach 1 might look like.

We're particularly fond of the flat black paint running down the center of the Mustang's hood, which now features the obligatory shaker scoop. Similarly blacked-out 20-inch Torq-Thrust-style wheels look the part, and the whole package is rounded out with Hugger Orange paint and Mach 1 graphics package. We wholeheartedly approve and can't wait to see what Ford has in store in 2011.

© Source: autoblog
We need your comments below >>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623385.post-61110415603576373882009-06-06T16:22:00.000-07:002009-06-06T16:23:24.451-07:00GM reinvention commercial – videoWe'll start off by saying that this spoof on General Motors' Re:invention commercial is not exactly fair and not exactly accurate... but it is funny. Five more years and many thousands of hours later, the Superior 54 Sport Wagon is available…at last.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lO_mFpZYfwg/SikXTM9W1-I/AAAAAAAAFT0/TfMy534Pgj4/s320/1.JPG" border="0" alt="2009 Superior 54 Sport Wagon"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5343828051515332578" />The journey was one that combined old-school craftsmanship and leading-edge technology. One of the most significant pieces of this project was to create the ‘plug’ – the body from which a mold could be made. Without an original body to start with, the plug was build using wood, foam, fiberglass, body filler, steel and anything else that would yield the desired form. These materials were shaped entirely by hand using only simple tools to create an extremely accurate model from which the molds were made.

The next phase of the project blasted our team into the modern era of product design and development. The now-perfect plug was imaged with a 3-D scanner, producing electronic files of the body from every angle. These were handed off to a CAD drafter to digitally create all of the body and window trim pieces. Rapid-prototyping technology was utilized to produce each part in full scale that were then installed on the body. After final hand-fitting of each trim piece, the master parts were finished and ready for production and chrome.

The Superior 54 Sport Wagon chassis is equipped with modern, high-performance, C5 Corvette suspension that not even the renowned auto-innovator Harley Earl could have imagined. Designed and built in partnership with Art Morrison Enterprises, Inc., the chassis brings today's sports car technology to this classic.

© Source: seriouswheels
We need your comments below >>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623385.post-6405977698197951852009-06-05T05:54:00.000-07:002009-06-05T05:57:04.828-07:00Alfa Romeo MiTo Novitec tuningWhile waiting for the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA, whose presentation ocurred at the Geneva motor show, Novitec has revealed its interpretation of the MiTo. The tuning company from the Netherlands has worked on the MiTo engines, using the 1.4 litre petrol turbo at 155 hp, and the JTDm 1.3 litre and 1.6 litre at 90 and 120 hp respectively.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lO_mFpZYfwg/SikV8aI4phI/AAAAAAAAFTs/DZYqqVFz9-4/s320/1.jpg" border="0" alt="Alfa Romeo MiTo Novitec tuning-1"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5343826560404727314" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lO_mFpZYfwg/SikV8N7-JoI/AAAAAAAAFTk/sGqGZCzKoI4/s320/2.jpg" border="0" alt="Alfa Romeo MiTo Novitec tuning-2"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5343826557129336450" />The petrol unit sees the power increased by 31 hp, up to 186 hp and requiring 7.4 seconds to reach 100 km/hr. Both the JTDm engines have had a power step of 20 hp and a new bodykit that lowers suspension by 40 mm. Further inclusions are an aerodynamic pack, a new exhaust and 18-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli tyres.

© Source: eurocarblog
We need your comments below >>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623385.post-77585016573868205142009-06-05T05:53:00.000-07:002009-06-05T05:54:50.861-07:002009 Codename Hotrod by Ali Murat Keskin(from Ali Murat Keskin) I finished the design/modeling of this luxury-sportscar a long time ago (early 2002). I changed the design slightly (side windows) in 2008 and re-rendered it both as studio and as outdoor style recently.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 174px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_lO_mFpZYfwg/SikVgCfcsAI/AAAAAAAAFTc/4WTHTqr-l0M/s320/1.jpg" border="0" alt="2009 Codename Hotrod by Ali Murat Keskin-1"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5343826073020575746" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 171px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lO_mFpZYfwg/SikVgEjS11I/AAAAAAAAFTU/hZutYaKkSjs/s320/2.JPG" border="0" alt="2009 Codename Hotrod by Ali Murat Keskin-2"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5343826073573578578" />I was inspired by 1971-73 Buick Riviera Boattail, but I think my design looks more aggressive, so I named it Hotrod as project codename. I have some ideas about interior but I didn't design yet (just modeled it simply for now). I didn't draw any concept sketches (except some sections), I just imagined and modeled it directly. The design completed while I was modeling it.

I'm looking for a car body manufacturing company to bring my car to real life. After making the body exterior & interior, it can be placed on an existing car's platform (like 2000-2002 Mercedes CL).

İf I can find a company to manufacture it, I'm considering to make some refinements/changes on exterior and re-model it as class-A.

© Source: seriouswheels
We need your comments below >>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623385.post-28087423640988829242009-06-05T05:50:00.000-07:002009-06-05T05:52:58.062-07:00Infiniti G37 Convertible hits EuropeInfiniti has released today the final specification of the new Infiniti G37 Convertible for Europe.
